Man Crush Monday: Garren, the not so normal R&B singer

It's man crush Monday, and an upcoming Compton-based R&B singer is not only catching my eye with his fashion but my ear as well. Garren recently released his new EP Normal on February 22nd, following the lead single release “Conversation”. Garren has been making his presence well known in the industry, as he is fresh off tour with South Central Los Angeles rapper G Perico. Garren is also is featured on South Central Los Angeles rapper Cozz’ debut album Effected on the track “Bout It”.
Normal, is a 7-track project, that is far from ‘normal’. The sound of the EP is beautiful, it is pure, raw, honest, and bold all from the production to the lyrics. A personal favorite of mine is “Energy”, it gives me a pure R&B feel and it’s a song you can definitely vibe out to. Normal is something I haven’t seen in a while from a musician (it received a RARE rating from me, all 5 stars on every track of the EP), Garren is definitely worthy to be this week’s Man Crush Monday (#MCM).
